So after we spent 5 days in Orlando, we finally got to Montecarlo in Miami Beach!! I hadn’t made a trip that far south in Florida for years (or at an age I could remember), so it was really nice to go. Mum usually likes to stay in hotels where breakfast is included, but I managed to convince her to pick somewhere quite different this time.
So we came across this lovely apartment at MonteCarlo Miami, which sits right on the beach front in north beach. It has a double bed in the main bedroom and a sofa bed in the second room, which was perfect since 3 of us were staying. The drive from Orlando was pretty long… around 4 hours total when accounting for traffic, but it was so worth it! My uncle picked us up from our hotel in Lake Buena Vista and took us south for the weekend.
CONVENIENCE & FACILITIES
Since we had to cook for ourselves, it was pretty convenient to have a supermarket just down the street where we could do our food shopping, and a few restaurants dotted about so we never had to travel far. It’s located on the quieter end of Collins Avenue, and the beach is private so it never gets too busy!
We weren’t short of things to do. There was a really nice fitness suite, (which had weights, mats and a bike that I could use, YAAAS), a pool room, two swimming pools, a jacuzzi as well as the private beach area.
Finally, it had a free parking & valet service, which was useful since we’d driven directly there.
SO WHAT DID I THINK?
I’m sure you can agree, the views from the apartment are absolutely breath taking! I loved getting up early in the morning to watch the sunrise whilst eating some fruits, and sitting by the pool. The weekend came and went all too quickly, but I’m sure I’ll be back to visit this place soon.
Would you like to stay right on the beach, or is a place in the city more your thing?
